Glow

no other light filled me

as it had on that day

my body was aglow

and I felt the Spirit

its lightness and freeness

that I had never known

He called out to me

and I heard clearly

I had been awakened

by the power of truth

my doubt passed from me

scales fell from my eyes

feeling my body tremble

as our fingers intertwined

and my soul was saved

This poem is about my personals feeling regarding a new and beginning religious experience in my life. These thoughts are only my own, and I do not wish to impose them on others. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone has the right to believe what they want. All the same, I hope you enjoyed this more intimate poem.

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. It’s always good to see a more intimate side, although poetry in itself is also intimate. As for religion in general I don’t subscribe to it these days, although I did read the 1074 page A History of Christianity which was fascinating, a real eye-opener.
