Nowhere: A Poem

Rear view of sad woman next to the window | Free Photo

lately it is not much of a question

when they ask me where I have been

usually the answer is the same as theirs

either spoken with a chuckle or a solemn tone

our eyes gaze longingly thorough the window panes

for once now all human minds have one thought in unison

that if the world will be forever changed once we enter it again

it is time to cherish these moments while we are stuck in nowhere

Without Warning: A Poem

there was no last word

just there and then gone

summer became winter

but the leaves didn’t change

a single contrary word

and our lives whisked away

clouds barely covering the sun

before the storm tore up everything

days became less recognizable

every night seemed everlasting

yet there must still be love

my last beacon, I hoped

it went up and they watched

but nothing came my way

the cold became unbearable

spring was nowhere in sight

as they left without warning
